Our church rose to the occasion with the recent Toy Drive that ended the second week of December. We ended up at 126% of goal in collecting Christmas toys for children in need for our surrounding community. This year’s recipients were children of the Grayson County Homeless Shelter. This organization receives many children into their shelter at this time of year and our congregation’s donations in the love and name of Jesus were answered prayers, according to the Shelter. (There is such a need here and the new Fannin County Homeless Shelter that The Way supports is scheduled to open in January 2020, which may be a great opportunity for our love and support for next year.)
