"I am the way, and the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me."

"Religion that is pure and undefiled before God is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction." — James 1:27
we too may walk in newness of life.
Romans 6:4b
When the earliest followers of Jesus needed a name for their movement, they didn't call themselves "Christians" — that label came much later, around 100 AD. Instead, they identified themselves as members of The Way.
The term appears throughout the book of Acts. When Saul was persecuting the early church, he was described as persecuting those who "belonged to the Way" (Acts 9:2). When the movement spread to Ephesus, the teaching of "the Way" caused a commotion that shook the entire city (Acts 19:23).
The name flows directly from Jesus's own words in John 14:6 — "I am the way, and the truth, and the life." To follow Jesus is to follow a Way, not merely a set of beliefs.
We chose this name to step away from the denominational and institutional baggage that so often accompanies the word "church" in our culture. We wanted to return to something simpler — a movement of people who are actually trying to follow Jesus in the way he taught.
We are not a denomination. We are not trying to be. We are simply The Way — a community of people following Jesus together.
Oh, magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together!
Psalms 34:3
Plain and Simple
God created us to be in relationship with him, but humanity has consistently failed to live up to his standard. From the very beginning — when Adam broke the single rule God had given — we established a pattern of falling short. No one can earn their way to God through their own effort or goodness.
God demonstrated his love by sending his Son. Jesus lived a completely sinless life — the life none of us could live — then willingly accepted crucifixion as payment for our sin. Three days later he rose from the dead, proving victory over both sin and death. "Christ died for our sins… was buried… raised on the third day." — 1 Cor 15:3–4
Through faith in what Jesus did, we receive what we could never earn — the gift of his righteousness and the promise of eternal life. This is the good news. Not a set of rules to follow, but a gift to receive and a relationship to enter into.
The true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth.
